Reading Corner

All students should be reading a just right book at home, as well as have one in the classroom that they can read from during the day. Students are to hand in their reading log every Monday, and should have read at least 100 minutes. The number of minutes each student is reading has been decreasing over the last few weeks, we need to start focusing on this homework again at home.

It is important that students are reading a minimum of 100 minutes per week and completing their reading log. Their reading log should contain at least 5 talking points. If your student struggles with reading, or is resistant to reading, please use some of the links below that has some interactive texts.

Students should all have an independent reading book at their "just right" level to read in class. We will share book hooks and participate in sustained reading time.

PLEASE SEE MRS. GARRITY'S PAGE FOR MORE SPECIFIC INFORMATION ON CURRICULUM.

Students will be starting the school year with a new read aloud book this year!
